The Free urban food project: summer forage

Join us on Saturday 9th August for a FREE guided foraging walk around Cambridge to learn about the health benefits of summer fruits and plants for our bodies and minds, and gather free surplus produce to feed our community. All welcome, no experience required.

akeman community garden

Love nature? Want to learn gardening skills, meet new people, and make a difference in your community? Join us at the Akeman Community Garden this summer for drop-in growing sessions every other Thursday 12-3pm. Everyone welcome, free to attend, no booking required.

Batch cook club

Join us at our new Batch Cook Club! Small, friendly group sessions, where together you’ll cook 2-3 seasonal recipes using fresh CoFarm vegetables, before enjoying a delicious lunch from the meals you’ve prepared. No cookery knowledge or experience needed, just plenty of enthusiasm!

waste not wednesdays: Pay as you feel cafe

Join us every Wednesday lunchtime 12:30-1:30pm for our volunteer-run ‘Waste Not Wednesdays’ cafe at St Philips Church. We take surplus food that is perfectly good to eat and turn it into delicious meals for the community Everyone is welcome, pay what you can afford.

The travelling garden

This summer, Cambridge Sustainable Food is hitting the rails with a vibrant Travelling Garden Bike, which will be touring stations across the region to transform public spaces and inspire commuters with messages about care for nature, the environment and sustainable local produce.
